Ezequiel Sanucci & Lydia Müller
Ezequiel Sanucci & Lydia Müller are dancers, teachers and choreographers in Argentine tango, contemporary dance, ballet and contact improvisation with decades of professional experience. They are pioneers of neotango, contact tango and directors of their company Tango Now where they make their own tango dance theater productions with their unique Contemporary Tango style.
Ezequiel grew up with tango music and learned his first tango steps at the age of 13 years old at the Ballet School of Teatro Colón. In 2009 he started dancing with Lydia. In 2012 they were honored with a scholarship for artistic development from the Fonds Podiumkunsten to follow professional tango studies in Buenos Aires for 6 month. In this period they studied traditional, nuevo and performing tango at a high professional level with top tango teachers such as Gustavo Naveira & Gisselle Anna and Dana Frigoli.
Ezequiel & Lydia teached and performed at major tango festivals, theaters and milongas in Europe and Latin America. They performed together with orchestras such as Alfredo Marcucci, Sexteto Milonguero, Otros Aires, Carlos Liberdinsky, Tangorra, Calavera Acid Tango and Trio Tangata. In 2013 they performed tango at the celebrations of the coronation of the king Willem Alexander and queen Máxima in Amsterdam.
Ezequiel & Lydia’s specialization in teaching is the Neotango where they developed their own organic and creative dance style. They are one of the pioneers of bringing this innovation to the tango world. Using their knowledge and background in tango and different dance styles they bring their students into dancing deeper in connection with their own bodies, the partner, the music, they improve their technique and they teach them creative movements with freedom in the dance. They have a high level of teaching Argentine tango in a pedagogical, step wise build up way, which is organic, with flow and fun.
